China Acrobats Association Celebrates the 15th World Circus Day

  On April 19, 2025, acrobats around the world celebrated the 15th "World Circus Day". This annual event was initiated in 2009 by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and is organized every third Saturday of April by member organizations of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque (World Circus Federation). The celebration aims to enhance public awareness of circus arts, preserve circus culture, and promote the prosperity of the circus industry.

  The China Acrobats Association (CAA) has participated in these celebrations annually since joining the World Circus Federation in 2012. This year's event was hosted at Zigong No.19 Middle School in Sichuan Province, co-organized by Zigong Acrobats Association and Zigong Acrobatic Troupe Performance Co., Ltd. The celebration featured a 60-minute spectacle that masterfully blended traditional and modern acrobatic arts, delivering a visual feast for the entire school community.

  The performance showcased diverse and challenging routines including Operatic Jar Balancing, Hoop Diving, Umbrella Foot-Juggling, Handstand, Close-up Magic, and Group Contortion.

  Following the event, Zigong No.19 Middle School presented an official letter of appreciation to Zigong Acrobatic Troupe, commending the artists for their exceptional artistry. Li Yi, President of Zigong Acrobats Association, stated: "We hope this 15th World Circus Day celebration will inspire younger generations to appreciate the profound cultural heritage behind circus arts."
