“Blooming Golden Chrysanthemum” China Magic Show in Czech Republic

  From October 15 to 22, a 10-member delegation led by Mr. Lu Hang, Deputy Secretary-General of China Acrobats Association, visited the Czech Republic to present 4 “Blooming Golden Chrysanthemum” China Magic Show. The shows were staged at Butterfly Wondercon Magic Convention, the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic, and the British International School in Prague, captivating audiences including professional magicians from across Europe, local residents, overseas Chinese, and students. The shows received widespread acclaim and were covered by media outlets such as the Prague Times, China-Europe Culture & Arts News, and the CCTV News Channel.

  Two performances held at the Theatre Metro in Prague attracted over 300 magicians from Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, France, and the Czech Republic. The programs are selected from the outstanding works of the China Circus “Golden Chrysanthemum Award” National Magic & Comedy Competition, including both traditional and innovative magic programs, as well as highly skilled acrobatic programs, all of which received enthusiastic audience response.

  The show at the Chinese Embassy not only demonstrated the profound heritage and creative vitality of Chinese magical arts but also served as a vibrant bridge for cultural exchange between the two countries. Zuo Wenxing, the charge d 'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, and Lu Hang, the deputy secretary-general of the CAA, delivered speeches. More than a hundred audiences, including Czech political figures and leaders of the Chinese community in Prague, watched this show. The Prague Times remarked that the show was “not only a visual and auditory feast, but also a vivid example of cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and the Czech Republic.”

  Additionally, the delegation visited the British International School in Prague for an exchange performance, engaging with young magic enthusiasts from various countries.
