From January 16 to 20, 2026, a two-person delegation led by Mr. TANG Yanhai, Executive Vice President of the China Acrobats Association (CAA), visited Monaco and France.

On January 16, the delegation attended the FMC General Assembly. During the session, Mr. LI Xiaoyuan, Director of the CAA’s International Liaison Department, gave a report on China’s acrobatic arts exchanges in 2025 and also summarized the CAA’s work in 2025. The report was positively received by international attendees.

The delegation also participated in the “Big Top, Big Data: Reimagining Circus for Tomorrow” symposium. A highlight was a special speech, “The Impact of AI on Circus,” delivered by Mr. Pavel, a former Senior Casting Director of Cirque du Soleil. Seizing the opportunity, the CAA delegation extended an invitation to Mr. Pavel to participate in the “World Art and Science Dialogue” event, scheduled to be held later this year by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

A significant outcome of the visit was the outstanding performance by Chinese troupes at the 48th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival. The Sui Ning Acrobatic Troupe achieved a historic breakthrough by simultaneously winning the Gold Medal in the “New Generation” children's group and the highest honor, the “Golden Clown” award, in the adult group.
Meanwhile, the Dalian Acrobatic Troupe was awarded the “Silver Clown” in the adult group.

During the award ceremony, Mr. TANG Yanhai presented the “Great Wall Cup” special honor to the Ethiopian Acrobatic Troupe. Both parties reached a consensus to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the training of circus talents for China and Africa.

On January 19, the delegation continued its visit to France. In Paris, they held a meeting with Mr. Bouglione, the Director of the Cirque d'Hiver, to discuss potential collaborations, including future joint performances.
